You know my 4 sons have wii and PS3 and all I heard was buy them something called wii fit. Some kind if game that gets them up off the couch and moving instead of sitting there like zombies.

So I had a better idea. I took the video games put them in the attic and guess what, they went outside road their bikes played baseball etc.

When we camp they find things to do and use this thing called their imagination and come up with all sorts of things to do without a video game controller.

Corey, that is an awesome pic. I have taught all four of mine to fish and camp and they absolutely love it. I hope they do the same things with their children someday...

my 3 year old grandson and 4 year old grandaughter love to fish and camp as my boys did growing up. They did not have video games until they were 18, played AAA hockey, are both Vets today and are both very well rounded. By the way, they used the video games only for a month or so and then they lost interest. Take that great picture and put it in a safe place to show him when he gets older.

My kids are in there 20's and still love to show up when we are camping ..
They still enjoy kayaking ,fishing campfires and the good food associated with camping.
Funny when they were your kids age we used a TENT then moved up to a pop-up when they were young teens ,then got an older 24 foot terry TT. this year we bought a 28 foot with a bunk house.

That's what I say too! It is worth every penny to do the things that make memories. Just us. Nothing in between.

That is awesome Coreyhunt, you can't start them too early on this. I had my daughter fishing a bit earlier this year but she's a bit too young (2.5) to really get it yet.

This weekend we are up at Sauble Beach and my daughter loves running on the beach and has been picking up the stones, sand and shells and throwing them back into lake huron, she has enough energy to get the whole beach back in there too!

This is our first camping trip in our new RV and our first with my son who is 6 weeks old.

This weekend I'm remembering fishing with my dad as a kid, and hanging out in the 1966 golden falcon trailer my parents bought used when I was born in 1976, they had it until a few years ago when they upgraded by 20 years to a 1986 unit. I think I'm destined to love RVing, I did my first solo RV trip when I was 22 and kept on going with rental units, my wife and I had our honeymoon in our old TT. Bringing this kind of life to my kids is really rewarding even though it's a lot of work to keep too very little kids under control in the great outdoors.

Happy camping to all of you young old and in between, Life is good, life on the road is better.

Funny that pic of my feet was unintentional. My 3 year old son was sitting on my lap playing with my iPhone and he got into the camera and took that by fluke. My wife used some program and made the black and white background.

It's one of our favorites.

Killbear is in Carling Ontario. Near Parry Sound. In my opinion the greatest park on the planet. Period.

Well let's see here...................

The beaches and how the water is shallow for 50 yards for the kids.

The campsites are great.

The staff and the plays, morning kids hikes with the staff and music events they put on at the amphitheater most nights.

The cliff jumping.

The trails.

The comfort stations are the cleanest you will find.

The nature/visitor centre has got to be around 7000 sqft of info. Snakes, butterfly's all on display.

The bike trail that runs from one end of the park to the other through the woods.

The stores just outside the park to get ice cream and bag ice cubes.

Parry Sound 15-20mins away. For shopping, groceries, and the Bobby Orr hall of fame ( boy you can tell I'm Canadian).

The Wilson farm just outside the park where Mr Wilson gives you 4 wheelbarrows full of wood for $10. And tries to get you to take one of his barn kittens.

The fishing.

the beaches.

Being able to bring my jet ski to take the kids tubing and put my extra car in the parking lot outside the park gates so you don't have to pay the AVP fee.

No cell service with Rogers so no one bugs me

Seeing dear, owls, and if your lucky bears everyday.

If you want to be around the activities you stay in beaver dams, Harolds point or kilcoursie if you want a more relaxed trip stay in blind bay.

The ease of getting there from Toronto with the new hiway extension.

Did I mention the beaches. Just to name a few!!!!

Baldy mentioned to me also, that it is a good park (I think...?)

I checked it out online and man there are alot of CG's to choose from, all within walking distance to the beach.
I like quieter CG's with no cars driving fast, so I won't worry when my DD is off riding her bike. Are the roads one-way around the sites?

Lighthouse point sites are near the dog area so that would be a good choice for me, have you stayed at that one?

Hey great pics, makes me miss the days when my three kids were little and would come camping with us. Rbarrieau that is exactly like our children, started in a tent and moved up as they got older, now we have a 6 month old grandaughter we hope to start camping asap lol. The kids come visit us at the campsite if not too far away and they go camping on their own in the tent of course, I think we passed on the camping bug on to them.
