Thread moved to On The Road forum (Future Trips).

Hello James and Welcome to the forums.

My favorite place on the Gulf Coast in Florida would be Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in the Destin area. Of course, this is the only Gulf Coast park we've stay in.
We have visited a few state other parks in the Fort Walton/Destin area and I must say, they are all nice parks.
Henderson Beach State Park is very nice. We talked about staying there a couple nights when we return to the area.
Click on "Our Photos" below my sig to see photos of Topsail Hill(See Albums, Camping '05 and Camping '06).

Again, Welcome to the Forest River Forums. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Happy Camping.

Hi James,

We are now camped at Indian Creek RV Resort (a Sun Community) on the Gulf coast at Fort Myers Beach. This is certainly a very BUSY area and it's not even the peak months of Jan/Feb.
If you are coming this far south I would advise you to try to find a place as soon as possible. Campgrounds fill up fast.
Many campgrounds have specials for "first time visitors" but many do not honour them in peak times but there is no problem in asking. Campground policies differ from campground to campground.
Two sites you might check out are Sun Communities at www.sunrvresorts.com and Encore/Sunburst at www.rvonethego.com.
Both these companies also tend to give out discount camping coupons at various RV shows.
