1st time TT owner
We just ordered our new Hemisphere 282RKS and hopefully will take delivery in April. We live in Ottawa Canada and will be getting used to it before take it coast to coast next year to our new home on one of the Gulf Islands off the British Columbia coast. Not sure what to ask, just any suggestions?

Congrats on your new Hemisphere. Welcome to the forum from just east of Toronto.
Are you new to camping or just to TTs?

Just follow the recent discussions list. You'll pick up a wealth of information just following what is important to others at the moment....

Welcome. Lots of info here. First off is learning what you don't know you don't know. I suggest perusing the forums especially, the FAQs section. The more you learn and do, the more questions you will have.

OK. So you aren't new to camping, just the TT.
Things you may not know about are the weight distribution hitch (WDH) and sway control, and dumping the grey and black tanks. Levelling will be very similar to your popup except that you'll have two axles rather than one. I just use a couple long, pressure treated 2x10s, others use Andersen Levelers. Setting up a TT will be faster but you'll have new accessories to setup if you choose to use them. Make sure you download the PDI checklist from the forum library to learn what to review on your walk through at the dealer. Make sure there aren't any significant issues before you sign the paperwork. If there are, have them fixed before you sign. You lose your leverage after you've accepted the trailer. Make sure they demonstrate the water system, too. Tell them you'll pay for the antifreeze if they have to re-winterize it if it's still cold out when it is delivered.

Welcome from Wisconsin. With all the added electronics in your Hemisphere over the tent trailer you might want to consider surge/EMS protection. Progressive Industries is the preferred choice around here. Here's a link: Progressive Industries RV Surge and Electrical Protection industry lea Shop around on line as they can be had for less.
