2011 Flagstaff Pop Up 246 D

We are now owners of a new 1011 Forest River Flagstaff 246 D and are actually going to take delivery tomorrow morning. We are Ed & Eva, retired, and need to get away at times as we love to travel. We just wanted to say "HELLO" to everyone here.

Welcome. I know what you mean about just getting away now and then. There is nothing better than sitting at a campground with people you enjoy and watching the world float by. All the best to you and hope you encounter only good times. Old Guys

Congrats on the new pop-up and welcome to the forum.

I recently visited a dealers lot and walked through a few Flagstaff pop-ups. They are really nice. Big improvement over the one I had years ago. I really enjoyed that pop-up, wife didn't. It is tempting to get another one, but then I remember my back and how I don't want to go through surgery again. And I am too lazy as well. Salesman did tell me that he could set a HW29SC up in 15 minutes. I smiled and said, "Your a better man than me,"

Enjoy and Happy Camping!

Making the decision to get the Flagstaff 246D was easy for me. It has plenty of room with the 14ft box and it even has a slideout for the dinette. At our house space is limited so parking should be no problem. I have a smaller (Chevy Colorado) pickup so what I can tow is limited. Hopefully this camper will fit the bill and not be a pain to set up. We pick it up today.

I'm sure it will be easy for you to set up, especially if you have the electric lift. My concerns are more with my abilities.
I was surprised at the room. The slideouts provide extra floor space and the "U" shaped dinettes have plenty of room.
I hope evertything goes well for you today. I know you must be excited and you should be.
Enjoy that new trailer!

Hi Ed and Eva!

Congrats on the new camper! I'm in NC, too. There are lots of beautiful campgrounds here ... let me know if you want some links!

Campground links would be appreciated.
Thanks Michelle Our next dog might be a bulldog also. Right now we have a Yorkie.

I just adopted my English Bulldog from a shelter and he is the funniest thing! He is so goofy and is great entertainment!

This is where I always start with my camping adventures ...
North Carolina RV Parks & Campgrounds - Camping in North Carolina - RV Clubs

My favorites are:

Raccoon Holler (on the Blue Ridge Parkway)
Four Paws Kingdom (all for the pups, private owned and fantastic)
Grandfather Campground

Good Luck and have fun!
