2013 flt831flss salvage rebuild

Hello. Forum & TT first timer. Thank you for having me. I've always wanted motor home, but, at 62 years I realize the cost will probably never allow. So, I've purchased salvage TT (FLT831FLSS) that storm put on its roof. Both AC units, etc., pushed through roof. Need a few windows as well. I'm capable of manual labor to repair. ?Does anyone know of someone in Kansas City area knowledgeable about extensive TT repair that I may hire to assist, and/or, advise best place to buy necessary materials and advise on proper installation/repair techniques? I've contacted local dealer. They wanted $200+ just to look at it at there shop and $120+ hour labor. Too much for me to bear. I'll repair myself. Thank you so much. Yours, Scottie

Do not know of anyone to recomend in that area but a couple of suggestions on what to try.

If your looking to hire someone to help post what you need as you need it on Craig's list. As in you need some not to held some cracks in a frame post that and see what you get. Same for other items.

As well take photos and post them on here asking for advice. Have seen a few like threads that get a lot of support from the avg Joe handy.

You tube will amaze you as well on what you can find tutorial videos on.

Best of luck.

Congrats and welcome from KC. I was looking at going with a salvage unit myself and ended up buying new after looking at the cost to fix. I have a friend who had a new roof put on a 5th wheel last fall in KC. I will get the info of the shop and update when I get it. He was very happy with the cost and work.
