2017 Forester 3051SF

New but not NEW! Been an RV owner for some time and just purchased a new C-Class. In short; the first 26' Trailer caught fire while driving (no one injured), second 26' was great but wanted to get there without having to stop for the wife and kids for bio breaks every 20 minutes, 40' Diesel Pusher was great but we wanted to get into National Parks, so here we are with a 30' C and so far LOVING it. 4 trips out in the new C and have had some quality control and service issues - which is why I joined. I am hopeful someone can offer some guidance and insight before I lose it [on Forest River Corp]... I am of the belief when you spend 90k for an "upper scale" C-class RV you should get a product and service to support said purchase. Lets just say we are off to a rough start.

Let us know what kind of issues your having. Isn't your dealer helping you?

Thank you for your reply. Yes and no! The dealer is not responsive to phone calls and to take in in is almost 3 hours away. I was able to get some things fixed from a dealer only 1.5 hours away but still a pain to have to take this in multiple times. I will post some of the issues individually so hopefully someone knows SOMETHING to guide me in the right direction. Thanks again...

Check the Forester and Sunseeker sub-forums in the Motorhomes section:

Lots of issues covered and solutions discussed. You can also search for your issues using the forum search function.

Just checked your profile - see you are in Dublin CA. We are in Half Moon Bay.
My info is somewhat dated, as we bought our Solera in 2012, but we also became frustrated with the dealer support. Like several others on the forum, we called Forest River and got "pre-approved" to use a non-dealer RV repair facility. We paid, Forest River reimbursed us. We used Ideal RV and Trailer Supply in Redwood City. Very pleased with them. I would actually use them over the dealer even without reimbursement! Much more convenient, fast, competent. In contrast to the dealer, they make their living doing service - rather than selling RVs.

Good to know - I will see if the place in Hayward where I took my Diesel Pusher (which I was happy with) will take the C. Thanks for the info...

By the way, how long did it take to get reimbursed?
