8327SS might be the one

Hi,

We're concidering an 8327SS. We fell in love with the Open Range 308BHS but it's just too heavy for our truck. We feel the 8327SS is the next best option.

Family:
Mom, Dad, two 5 year old boys, one 2 year old girl, and one aging golden retreiver.

Truck:
Toyota Tundra, at max cargo capacity we're 300 lbs over the combined vehicle weight rating (16000) but I doubt we'll ever load the full 1500 lbs of cargo so I'm guessing we're probably ok. We're going to spend the money for a Propride hitch. Truck with full gas and full family comes in at 6190 lbs. We just weighed it today.

This will be our first camper. We rented a small bunk house last year to make sure we liked it.

Use:
Mostly be weekend camping on the local rivers but would like to take it to Gulf Shores for a week or so every year. Maybe hit some other Eastern/Midwest states.

I would like to know if people have been happy with this floorplan and Rockwood in general. We have not physically seen this floorplan, just lots and lots of videos and pictures.

Welcome to the forums! Hopefully you will be able to find what you need in the various forums here, like the Towing forum for example. Often the individual forums here are better for getting more feedback from more experienced members.

Good luck!
