About to Make the Jump

Hello All,

Well the wife and I are about to make the jump up from a '96 pop-up to a travel trailer. We're pretty much set on the Clipper 17FQ. It's just a matter of where to buy.

The closest dealer is 3 Hr away and wants $13,700 for last years model (2014). I see a large volume dealer in Omaha (A.C. Nelsen) that's advertising 2015's for $11,488. Has anyone purchased from AC Nelsen?

Thanks,

Barry & Rose

I bought by first trailer from them and all went great. They weren't as ready as rvw was when I bought my 5er though. Where are you located?

We're in far South west Colorado (Four Corners Area) about 10 miles outside Durango. It's a beautiful part of the Rockies as the winters aren't as bad as the "Front Range" (Denver, Colorado Springs) but the mountains are literally out our back door.

Mesa Verde NP is about an hour west and places like Arches, Canyon Lands, Bryce, etc are less than a days drive.

I really like the 17fq would have got that one but with a kid wanted bed space for him and a friend so went with 15rb with the front bed option

Picking up the 17FQ on Sat

The dealer three hours away was willing to work with us on the price of a new (2014) Viking 17FQ. Saves us making a 13 hour drive to Omaha where AC Nelson had a great price on the same model.

So next Saturday we make the drive north over Red Mountain pass and pick up our new camper.

Congrats on your new Camper, welcome to the forums and DON'T FORGET to download a copy of the PDI for when you go to pick up!
