The best two apps I have are: IExit and Rest Areas. They are very helpful.

All great advice!
My .02, don't worry about remembering every little thing, there is a wally world on every other corner now a days, no need to stock up with 200 Lbs of canned goods and such, travel light and pick up what you need along the way. Wally world parking lots are huge, plenty of room to park and shop for the rig.
