Another new member from Baja Oklahoma

Tejas, that is - Montgomery, Tx to be more specific

The Wife purchased today (from DeMontrond RV) a 2012 261BH XL, just very slightly used, we'll pick-it-up next Monday.

New to the TT world but previously owned a Roadtrek 190 - which was a very good unit - proved to be too small after we got our 3rd Dog (Shiba Inu breed, all 3).

Plan on "learning" this trailer at the house then taking it on a couple of weekend type trips for shakedown and further learning - probably to the Hill Country (have stayed at Inks Lake) - then a longer trip out West later this year (before the Winter sets in).

Making arrangements to have a Weight Distribution/Equalizer Hitch put on the GMC 1500, along with a Brake Controller (have seen where Prodigy (2or3) is recommended) - but any further advise would be appreciated.

Looking forward to reading and learning.....Bill & Monica (& Sake, Sushi, Kobe)

to the forums! Great idea with house camping as it can be a good way with getting to know your trailer.

Recommend taking good notes and insisting on a good inspection (pdi) when you pick up the trailer next week.

yep, thank you both for the welcomes.. I've downloaded what appears to be a good PPI checklist - and - I'm familiar with the systems because of the previous Roadtrek ownership.....Bill
