Wink Another Newbie

Picking up my new (2016) Palomini 180FB next week. Trying to sponge as much information as possible. The saying 'You don't know what you don't know' was never more true in my case. WhiteCap

Hi Whitecap,

Make sure you ask questions about EVERYTHING in your pre-delivery inspection. Type "pdi" into the search box and you will get some good lists to print out. Remember that you are spending a lot of money and deserve answers to your questions. If the person doing the pdi can't answer a question, then ask for someone else to get your answer.

When you get the unit home, plug it in to your electric and hook up to water and check everything out as if you were camping. Remember not to turn your hot water heater on until you are sure it is filled, or you will burn out the element.

God luck with your new unit,
Don

PS: Also, if you have specific questions about your unit, you should post them to the section of the forum dedicated for your brand.

Just a thought,
Don

Don, I envy your current view, wherever that is. Any occasional visitor space planned? HaHa!

Thanks WhiteCap.

We love the view and the lakes are amazing. We are way down South Jersey. Have about 1000 acres of lakes to boat, jet ski and kayak on. The wildlife is awesome. We have herons, swans, ducks, egrets, deer, osprey, otters and about 20-30 Bald Eagles.

Now the bad point: The insects will pick you up and carry you off. UGH!

I installed a 100 amp campground type box, and not long after, had someone else plugged into it. Was hoping to keep it for visitors, but they invited themselves to stay.

Enjoy your new rig,
Don
