Another Newbie

My wife and I just purchased a new (never sold) 2010 Salem Hemisphere 25RL last week (in Salem, Oregon of all places) and are getting ready for our first trip tomorrow.

We are new to this "camping" thing and are looking forward to giving it a try.

I think that I have everything ready and am looking forward to getting started.

We live on the SW coast of Washington state and are going to make our "test run" on the Oregon coast about 50 miles south of here. If we aren't divorced by the end of the week, we have several longer trips planned for this spring.

It will be my wife and myself along with our 5 year old yellow lab, so it should be fun.

Congrats on the new trailer! Once you start getting out you will start counting the days until the next trip. Love the coast idea! I just came back today from a weekend at the beach.

Feel free to post pics!

Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...

Congratulations!! I hope you enjoy your "shakedown" trip. My DH and I bought our first TT last year and absolutely love it! If I could, I'd spend every day in it, but alas, I have to work to pay for it.

This site has all sorts of valuable information on any question you can think of. Its an invaluable tool for "newbies."

Happy camping!

My best advise to you is to have a notebook to jot down things that you figure out that you need to either buy or make adjustments to (remodel). Our first trip had about a half of a page of adjustments (Ha-HA). Poor DH is still doing them cause I keep coming up with new ones.......Dang RV shows give me to many ideas ......
