As an Illinois camper who claims Petit Jean and Magazine Mountain as favorite places to visit, I look forward to your discussions.

Welcome from Missouri.

We made our first camping trip to Arkansas last fall, but it won't be our last. Somewhere in Crater of Diamonds SP there is a 3 carat or bigger stone with my name on it...I just know it!

A big welcome from Louisiana! DH and I (with a couple we call family of choice) spent Thanksgiving in Hot Springs, with a day trip up to Petit Jean. I've a son, DIL and grandson in Hope, and *years ago* had a second home in "Welcome to DeeeeLight, Home of Glen Campbell!" (chuckle) I can close my eyes and still see that tattered sign at the rail road tracks coming into that little one red light town.

You live in a beautiful state and we're glad you're so close....awesome camping opportunities just North of us! Every time I see those beautiful Arkansas travel commercials on TV I get "hitch itch"!

I know where where all those places are. You need to make a few days trip to Petit Jean, it is one of our favorites walking down to the waterfall.

Let me know when your coming and I can try and help with a campsite. Very nice one down on the river right in Little Rock. We go there on the weekends just to get away from the neighbors. LOL

HAHA Mike, I am with you on the crater of diamonds. I have lived here for 50 years and have never been. We are going this year no matter what. Maybe I will see you there.

Gonna be camping in Hot Springs Village May 29-June 2. Indeed, a beautiful state. We have a brother and S-I-L living in the Village.

The last 2 years we went to the Crater of Diamonds and can't wait to go back. We usually get the handicapped spot near the playground. A group meeting there sounds good .

Yes I actually found a diamond about 50 years ago while on a Campfire Girl outing to the Crater of Diamonds! It was very small but still a diamond. I remember having my picture taken and it was a huge event! Good luck and I hope you have many new memories camping!
