Awaiting our 1st RV

Hi all! Dear wife and I are anxiously awaiting delivery of our brand new 2018 Cardinal Estates 3825FL. We close on the house in 2 weeks and will be full-timers as part of an early retirement strategy. As neither of us have EVER stayed a single night in an RV before we imagine that all of you nice folks will become our very best friends as we settle in. Now........let the Black Tank jokes roll in hahaha.

Welcome and congratulations on your new camper and your retirement.
I found the learning curve to an RV to be steep! Be sure to video your PDI as you will have lots of questions the first time you go to do something.

Our first camper was a popup - we got a very brief PDI and I did not have many questions as we did not know what we did not know - LOL

We made alot of mistakes as I am sure you will also, but keep smiling and ask questions and soon you will be a pro.

Congrats and welcome. Since this is your first RV, I recommend you go to the library tab as you will find some very helpful info there. You will also find a PDI Pre Delivery Inspection checklist. This will show you what you should be checking before you sign anything. Do not let the excitement of your new home cloud your good judgement. RV dealers are very busy this time of year and once you sign paperwork, you lose your leverage to get repairs made in a timely manner. You are buying this to enjoy for a long time, Don't let an extra few days or week at the dealer spoil that. If there is an appliance you are not comfortable with, use your phone to video the dealers demo during PDI. Unfortunately there is no perfect unit in today's world so be prepared for a few minor issues. Get them corrected, but don't ruin your planned good times stressing over them.
Get it an enjoy it.
