Been lurking and some posts, time to sign in

My wife and I have been empty nesters for several years.
Our daughter and now son-in-law came home after a Persian Gulf deployment in a jacked up 2000 F350 longbed diesel towing two quads. I promptly flipped one in a creek and was hooked.Since then we've purchased three ATV's and we tented for several years while ATVing and promptly got tired of that (the tenting that is).
In '05 we bought our first toyhauler (2004 KZ 26' with slide). We broke our first tow vehicle by towing to heavy and upgraded to a 2000 Excursion Diesel (Hypertech tuner installed). It gets expensive not having the right tow vehicle.* Since this all started because of my my son-in-law and it is therefore his fault.* Half of the expense goes on his tab, at least that is what keep I tell him.* And, oh yeah, they sold both of their quads.
Its time to upgrade the toyhauler, we just ordered a new FR All American/XLR and take delivery in mid April.* Although FR has discontinued the Eagle and Flag graphics they found some and are putting them on as a special service request, virtually no charge except for the 4-graphic pannels they had to order from 3M.* The factory personnel have been great.* We toured the XLR factory in February and they referred us to a dealer about an hour away in Schoolcraft MI, Cloverleaf RV and got the best price of the 5 or 6 dealers we talked to.
A word about Lazydays in FL. STAY AWAY, sorry that is two words.
We are based just south of Buffalo NY.* We travel and camp from VA, WV to St Louis; Ontario, Canada and throughout NY and PA.We are always looking for new places to go and different adventures.

Just wondering, do you have pets? maybe a dog or two, the reason I am asking is because in April the weekend of the 25th in Gettysburg PA. there is a Greyhound reunion going on all weekend. They are exspecting over 3000 Greyhounds. This is something to see, all those dog and no fights just alot of butt sniffing. On Friday the 25th, Harley-Davison on RT30 just off RT15, are going to feed everyone that comes around free of charge. The menu is Hot Dog and French fries and soda, and this year I hear Harley-Davison will be doing this all weekend long. For more info GOOGLE Greyhounds in Gettysburg for all the activities. This same event happens again in October on Columbus Day weekend in Dewey Beach Del. This is even bigger then Gettysburg. For more info GOOGLE Greyhounds reach the Beach. By the way, there are about 5 camp ground in the area, DRUMMBOY, GRANITE HILLS, ROUND TOP, KOA and GETTYSBURG CAMPGROUND. That's one adventure. Question, when you traveled to VA did you stop by the Smithsonians National Air and Space Museum The Steven F Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles Airport in Chantilly VA. If not there is alot of aviation history to see. There is talk about a new RV park that is suppost to go in on the museum suit, I had posted this info a while ago, but have not heard any thing more at this time but as soon as I do I will post it. I do have pic of the Museum if anyone is interested. The Museum is getting ready to start building phase two,the Restoration Hanger.

Thanks to al for the welcome

to answer a few ?'s.**

We will pass along the thanks to our daughter and son-in-law.

We do have two pets but felines not usually dog compatible.* They stay a home when we travel and our good neighbors feed and pamper them.

We have been to the museums and they sparked interest in our son that did an abribviated navy stint. He has since married a naval reservist-Seabee (diesel mechanic).

Hopefully we can add to the great information posted on this site.
