Beginning 5er

I retired after 33 years at the Lazy "B" the end of this past June. By the end of July I had bought the new truck and a new Wildcat 5th wheel and started camping with my wife and puppy. Spent several very long nights reading the Forest River Forums to get a good feel if the Wildcat was right for for us. This forum really helped sell me on the Cat. I am looking forward to learning all I can about 5er camping from the members of this forum. Am glad to join the community.

Congratulations on both the retirement and the new hobby. Which part of the Lazy B were you working at? I put 30 years in, from 1968 to 1998 and bailed at 57 when the overseas travel got too much. My last 12 years were in Customer Engineering in Everett and prior to that I was a simulation engineer in the Customer Training group in Seattle's South Park neighborhood, before they moved to Longacres.

We moved to Anacortes the year after I retired.

Lazy 'B' Reply

Frank, I worked in the Everett Design Center but the last 5 years I worked virtual from my retirement home in Redmond OR. I spent the last 18 years designing flight data recorder systems for commercial airplanes. Am pretty glad to be done with it all as I'm sure you are. Great place to work but even better to retired from. The only problem I've found with retirement so far is that the DW won't give me day off.
