Thanks for the welcome and for the suggestion on the the solar blankets...
When we had our hybrid, I purchased solar blankets from PopupGizmos:

PopupGizmos

They worked very well. Kept it warmer in cold weather and cooler in hot weather. Many make them themselves, but if you want to purchase ones already to size and with the attachment equipment, PopupGizmos has a good product.

Allards5,

Yes we sat in your camper at the Expo center, very nice and if you hadn’t purchased it first we probably would have. Where are you planning to camp first? We used to live in Bristow before moving to Annandale last September. We have twins as well but they are twelve and a nine year old to finish the pack. I plan on going on a close in trial run...make sure I know how to work everything weekend camping trip after it arrives on 12 March. If you are interested in joining us let me know.

Glenn5995,

Twins as well, I think we are on to something here. Thanks for the recommendations on supplies.

We chose to have the dealer keep it until we arranged for storage (HOA says no-way for RVs on the street).

Going to pick it up tomorrow! It's been ready for awhile, just waited for a work holiday to have the time.

We got the cherry wood interior with Charleston fabric.

Wow - what a coincidence. We're just off the 234 Bypass not far from the baseball fields on 28.

We're thinking about Luray for our "shakedown" trip. It's close and has lots of fun stuff for the boys. Or we may pop over to Bull Run Park just because it's so close. Where were you thinking about going?

We are completely new to camping, so this is going to be a big adventure for us! We did a test trip in a borrowed PUP last year and the boys loved it.

We've been busy making lists of the "stuff" we need.

It would be fun to get together. I'll send you a message off the board.

- Karen
