Brand new to fifth wheel

Hello Everyone…..we bought a 2015 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite Fifth Wheel and took delivery yesterday. We were very, very excited. We had a travel trailer before which was a Nomad 30ft, but over the last 8 years kept it at a seasonal site so she did not get pulled around much. We were very very happy until setting it up………could not get any of the three slides out…..talked to dealers, techs, etc and no help at all and they want us to bring it back in. Our refrigerator also is not getting cold. I manually rolled out the lower slide outs, but did not know how to get the bedroom slide manually done. My husband and I are both retired and we run our own travel business which we take to the road. We will keep her at our beautiful seasonal site for the summer months and then head to Texas (where our kids and grandkids live) in Jan/Feb/Mar. If anyone has any tips on my two current problems, I would love some onsite. Thanks.

Carol

Welcome and congrats on your 2015 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite Fifth Wheel. Silly question but your battery is hooked up right? You need it to deploy the slides.

Thank you and yes the battery is hooked up. I actually talked to techs at the dealerships and we tried several things, but so far nothing.

My guess is that if you spoke to techs and they had you check several things with no success, then you probably wont get the answers here, and will need to bring it in as they suggest.

Have you checked the inline fuses. Mine are near the battery in the front storage compartment. If installed (as most are) can blow upon retracting the slides. I have since replaced mine with inline fuse release relays.
