Brand new to RVing

Getting my feet wet (hopefully not literally) with a 2007 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light. Been a boater for 15 years, now want to see some of America by land. Born and raised in UK, migrated to USA 1995. Love travel and look forward to do some more now.

Welcome Andy, we're fairly new ourselves. If you need any suggestions for places to see out west We'd be happy to offer some suggestions. We were fortunate to take a captained sailboat trip to the BVI and loved it. A lot of the RV issues are the same as boating. You'll Love it!!!

Welcome!! and Congrats on the RV
Think of your RV like I used to think of my boat "a hole in the water where I threw money". LOL
Just kidding.
There is a lot of knowledge on this board, so don't be afraid to ask the "dumb" question. We have all been there trying to figure something out.

Welcome Andy! I sold my boat last year and bought a 2007 Rockwood Signature Ultralite too. Hope you will enjoy camping as much as boating.

Welcome Andy, new to RV's also. Former boat owner and I find RV's are a lot like boats in that they need constant attention.

Welcome Andy!
There is a great wealth of knowledge here, so ask anything, anytime!

(Was stationed near Ipswich during my time with the US Air Force. Loved it!)

Nice to hear from all you folks out there and thanks for the welcome. I used to tend bar on a US Airforce base (RAF Chicksands) back in the UK. That's how come I came to be out here. I'm actually off back to England for a couple of weeks, we fly out tonight. Gonna visit Paris, France too. When we get back we're going to start taking some weekends away. Starting close in, but venturing further afield each time. One of the main reasons for the trailer is we love to travel, but have 4 small dogs. We hate to leave them when we travel, so we figured that we can take them with us with a trailer. If any of you kind folk have any travelling-with-pets hints, I'd love to hear them. Also I posted on the Rockwood page about my oval, orange light, above the kitchen window, that won't switch off. It's driving me nuts as I've checked every surface for a hidden switch. Let's hope that's the only problem I encounter. Still missing the boat, probably because I haven't had an opportunity to go anywhere in the trailer yet!

Thanks again, everybody.

Andy
