Brand new trailer

We did it. Nov. 24th we drove to Grand Rapids Mi. and picked up a new 2010 V-Cross 27VFK. When my wife first saw it hooked up to the Avalanche she could only say "ARE WE NUTS" but I think she likes it already, as I've heard her telling people how nice it is and how much storage room it has. Looks like our marriage will survive it's 36th year yet. We drove it home in the dark (about 4 and 1/2 hrs.) to Stratford On. Can. and it towed and parked as well as or better than our old pop-up did many years ago. After some initial jitters I became quite comfortable with it and by Flint we were passing the semis that had been passing us. No problems at the border (they couldn't possibly have been more helpful) and the trailer is already registered and safetied in Canada and will be plated in Ontario early this week. Then we can start saving for what will hopefully be many happy camping trips...Old Guys

Right you are. Only problem is I don't have any yet and we are not just old guys but the computer is new to a couple of technophobes who need to figure out how to post them. Maybe soon (that means when our son comes home for a visit)...........Old Guys.

Go to " FAQ" at the top of the Forum then click on " READING AND POSTING MESSAGES " But first you have to download your pic from your camera to your PC before you can post a pic.

why wait

No waiting necessary. Will try for two good weeks in Florida to start with at end of February and see what comes after that. Maybe an early spring so we can camp here in Canada.

Nice set-up, old guys.

If you make it down to Cajun Country, look us up.

We picked up the same trailer from McPhails up in Harriston in Nov. We tow with a 2007 Gmc 1500 and it seems to pull really well. Our maiden voyage for this one is Earl Rowe PP in Alliston for the May 24 weekend. Let us know how the Feb trip works out and happy camping!

congrats to you as well on your new V Cross, we also purchased from a Michigan dealer, Allseasons Rv, its amazing the amount of money you can save, nearly $6000.00! We are planning a trip there this summer to meet the staff in person , camp and then go thru Canada. Happy camping!!

We got ours at American RV in Grand Rapids and have been quite happy with the deal so far. The money we saved hasn't hurt either. Where are you coming from and where are you headed if you are coming through Canada. Don't forget you will need a passport to cross the border either way, thanks to the nutty world we live in now. At any rate have a good trip, enjoy Canada, and maybe we will bump into each other. See you. Old Guys
