Brandnew Campers

Hey y'all. We are the proud brand-new owners of a Rockwood Signature Ultra lite 8311SS. We just stayed in our driveway last night. Electrical issues so going to go check on forums.

You electrical problems could be caused by improper installation, a faulty part, or even an errant staple.
You really should take it back to the dealer to repair.

First off welcome to the forums.
Sorry you are having issues but that is normal in most cases.
Taking it back to the dealer is a good idea because it is under warranty.
Good luck.

Welcome and congratulations. When I picked up our Rockwood and got it home I immediately wanted to play with it of course, but the slide out electric wouldn't work ? (Worked fine during the walk through). Tried everything I could think of to no avail.
Called the dealer and they sent a tech out to the house within two hours, who also could not figure it out
Dealer sent someone out first thing the next morning to pick it up, took it back, then brought it back to the house that afternoon after they figured out it was a fuse in a holder under the chassis that was sorta hidden and no one knew about. A lot of customer service for a .30 cent fuse, and zero problems since.
What is your issue? And don't worry...Rockwood make a great product.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. What are your electrical issues? Describing the problem will allow others the help you better than just naming the problem.

While we were plugged in last night we noticed that the GFCI was not resetting and all of the outlets in the rear weren't working. In the middle of the night we were awakened and realized the battery was totally dead and the only thing that worked were outlets in the front. We checked all fuses. Today he charged the battery with a charger.

I'm sure that you will be getting more responses today. The non working outlets could be connected to the GFCI that is not working I assume that when you push the button on the GFCI outlet it its not resetting. Also is your camper plugged into the house ? The house outlet a GFCI outlet??

Is is not normal to have issues but it does happen.

Check your ground wire in the GF and at your panel. Before you have to take it in.

Check your garage service! You have 30 Amp service in the trailer drawing from a 15-20 amp garage circuit. If you plan to plug in at home a lot get a 30 amp service line in place. If you are not going to run the TT at "full power" while home you maybe ok,(not wise) but you may not pull enough juice to charge the battery. Your best bet spend a couple bucks get 30 Amp service to the garage.

Thanks. I called the dealer and they believe the converter is wired into the outlet that won't reset thus causing all of the issues. Hopefully taking it there this afternoon.
