Camping Newb in KY

Greetings all!! New member here so thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Brock and I live in Louisville, KY with my wife Carrie and 8 year old daughter Camryn. We just purchased a 2007 Coachmen Capri 300QBS and have already started with the mods. We are new to camping (actually haven't even camped yet) but are jumping in with both feet.

We picked it up Wednesday in Wabash, IN and had a helluva time getting back due to a blown tire on the interstate. I'll save you the story, but it was a long...long day.

Here are some before and after pics. I'd like to add a TV mount to hold my 24" tv over the table area. However, would need to be able to take it down easily for transport/moving outside. Thoughts/suggestions?

Our first TT had an identical floorplan. What we did for TV was to put a wood backer inside the shelves, on the "floor" of the shelves above the table. I attached a swivel TV mount to it so we could see it from the couch, or swivel it left a little and could see it from the bed. I just went to wally world and found the TV mount if I remember right, it wasn't expensive and had a "quick connect" that allowed us to remove it for travel.

TV-wise, you're looking for a mount with a quick release. Seems like it is a common feature.

As for the cable connections - if using regular coax, I've put on quick connect fittings for the coax cable. This allows me to just slide them on vs. screwing them in. I use them for our bedroom and bunkhouse because we move the TV for travel.

Welcome and congrats on the camper. Nothing like jumping in with both feet. Be careful camping is very addictive. Enjoy!

Welcome to the madness! You have a real nice trailer and I hope you change out the remaining three tires ASAP.

Yes, first thing i did was get the other three tires replaced and all the bearings repacked. It was quite the ordeal!!

Thanks all for the welcomes! Anyone have a link to a quick release TV mount?

I bought an articulated wall mount that locks into place against the wall for travel but swings out into nearly any position for viewing. In addition, with only one thumb screw, you can remove the tv from the mount. The only downside is you have to find a way to hang it or put the stand back on if you are going to use it in another location.

Our mount came from wayfair.com.
