Coming back to the camping scene

Greetings to all. My wife and I camped with a Jayco 1406 Popup many years ago and now that the kids are grown, we have decided to return to what excites us. We are picking up our new 2016 Rockwood Windjammer 3029W on Thursday morning in Michigan. We are going to be pulling our new fun home on wheels with a new Ford F-150 Supercrew 3.5 Ecoboost & Max Tow Pkg. leveling the load with an Equalizer 14K. I have tried to do a lot of research on everything and I believe I got it right based upon everything I have read. Would be interested in hearing others opinions on the above mentioned combination. Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Look forward to meeting many of you down the road.

Welcome and Congrats from a WJ owner from California! In OH workamping at the moment. We don't have a 3029 and not a 1/2ton truck but I think the weights and length of the TT are not too different, the 1.4k/14k WDH works very well for us.

Welcome back to camping! We did the same thing....used to tent camp and went to pop up camper when kids were young. Kids are grown and now it is time to do for ourselves a little so we too returned to camping. Wish we had made the move several years earlier. We are enjoying it! Hope you do too!

Welcome to the forum from Missouri. My wife and I also were out of RVing for many years and just came back this year to do traveling in our Retirement years. Enjoy your new 2016 Rockwood Windjammer 3029W. Safe travels to you and your family.
