While usually not good investments, rvs aren't necessarily money pits either. I've spent really very little on upkeep over the years. Most problems are cheap to fix for a DIYer. As was said, water leaks are going to be your biggest enemy.When looking at trailers, be sure to look past the decor and eye-catching decals. Many campers look similar at first glance but what materials the rv is built with will often dictate how long it will last. For example, is the structure and the wheels aluminum or a wood structure with steel wheels? Are the countertops solid surface or laminated particle board?
