Eager to go

Hello,

Another new trailer owner and forum poster signing in...

We picked up our first trailer, a 2013 Wildwood X-lite 195 bh, the weekend before Labor Day. So far, we have only camped out in the back yard but we're eager to go off this weekend for our first official trip. We're going to stay close to home in a nearby state park in case we make lots of rookie mistakes but regardless, we're determined to have fun. After all, we're no longer in tents (hooray).

I look forward to reading (and learning from) your posts and tapping into the wisdom of those who are willing to share their camping knowledge and expertise.

aboard and congrats on your 2013 Wildwood X-lite 195 bh! Driveway camping is a great idea - wished I had thought of it. Take lots of pictures and just have fun on your first trip. If you have any questions we have answers.

Welcome to the forum Mr. B from another newby. I pick up my new trailer tomorrow. The shakedown cruise for me is getting used to my brake controller while driving 30 km. or so to my daughter's back yard where I'll set up and get acquainted. Milady wants to camp for a weekend soon so I'm hoping to impress her with my vast knowledge and capability!

Thanks for all the welcomes.

I just wanted to share that our first "real" camping trip was a success thanks in part to all the helpful advice and tips posted by you veterans. We did witness a disturbing event at the dumping station but I'll share that tale in the "tips and tricks" thread with the other stories of things seen at the dump station.

Welcome to the forum Mr. B. Hmmm, if memory serves me correctly, weren't you driving a "rolling refinery" in Alabama in 1978? Sorry, a little movie humor...Smokey and the Bandit...

Welcome to forum...my wife and I took our TT out over the week of 4th of July for its maiden voyage which was 9 days long, and thanks to those on this board, it too was a success.
