Easy stereo audio upgrade
We purchased a new 2013 Rockwood mini lite 2306. It's a great camper and we love it but were disappointed in the quality of the Genesis Technologies GT-2.0 audio system. It sounded like an expensive transistor radio rather than a car stereo.
Looking through the operation manual there was a wiring diagram for the audio inputs and speaker connections. There is a connection for a "Sub Woofer" that clearly was not installed.
I pulled the stereo out of the wall to find that option is not used. The Green and Green-Black wires were cut off short during the factory instillation.
I extended those two wires to a spot under the dinette table and installed a mid priced JBL cube speaker as a Sub woofer. WOW. What a difference. The unit now sounds like you would expect from a car stereo.
Although the speaker only works when the "A" zone speakers are turned on, it was well worth the couple of hours it took to install it.
Because the TV audio can be played through the unit, it makes the TV sound 100% better as sell
