Enjoying Life...Arctic Wolf Style

First 5th wheel at 66, wow. Enjoy much more than Class C we had last year as 1st timers. We migrated from GA. To Pensacola this winter...lol..12 degree diff..Great fun, wife and our dogs love it. Headed to S.C. for intermittent living. QUESTION...Do we need to close slides, unhook water, sewage everytime we leave for a week or so? Brother just diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer also in bones so we plan to go often, but intermittently. Thanks and glad to join. SEMPER FI

Welcome! I'd close the slides when you leave. I would shut off the water but leave the hose connected to the rig. I would also leave the sewer connected as well but make sure all the dump valves are closed as so sewer gas doesn't enter the rig.

Welcome to the forum; new also. We have left our slides out on our earlier TT and now our new 5er. Two years back we had a love-bug convention in N-LA and somehow they got into the trailer; figured through the slide. Now with 3 slides, we will see what happens. Just said a prayer for your brother and family. Lost my mother-in-law last week, been a hard few days in our home.

Welcome to the forum. We moved from a tt to 5er last year. Please let us know why you prefer the 5er over Class C.

We used to have our tt at a seasonal site. We left slides open. Water off any time we left, even for 30 minutes. Propane and AC off if gone for greater than 24 hours. Tanks dumped, closed and then filled with a gallon or so if gone for > 48 hrs. Fridges stayed on always. Awning always in.

Positive thought to your brother and family.
