Extended Warranty

Picking up our brand new Micro Lite 21 ds tonight. What is the feeling of buying an extended warranty/service policy. It's a chunk of change so would rather not spend the $$ if not necessary. Anyone had need to use it?

If i were you I'd get the cheap year 2 warranty (provided your model is eligible) and be done with it. That's what I did.

An extended warranty is similar to an insurance policy. You hope you never need it. The brochure will show you all the many things that are covered and how much your costs could be. . . But also in the equation is what is excluded? For example if you are the victim of a power surge that bakes all of your appliances is that an exclusion? Water damage? You get the idea. Also, how handy are you, and how much time do you have for potential repairs? Most of the repairs you may need can be done cheaper yourself. Enjoy your new purchase!
