Family camping upgrade.

Hi everyone. New to the TT scene. Up here on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. Always tented with the family. Took a little break for a year as the little guy was particular to his own bed.

Last July was very poor weather wise and the prices dropped incredibly. Spent a whole weekend driving the whole province and after we made a choice we pulled the trigger.

Picked up a brand new 2015 Salem 27 DBUD. Price was right couldn't say no. And where we live has beautiful spots to go. Got the basic stuff for it. Rhino sewer hose. Water pressure regulator. 15000lb weight distribution hitch. Vent covers. Huge mat for outside.

Planning to upgrade mattress with a memory foam topper and pick up an infrared heater. Other than anything else should I pick up or look into?

Hello,

I would add a power surge protector to save from improperly wired outlets and brown outs.
Depending on camping style you might need a sewer tote, water carrying devices (Canadian Tire and Walmart sell plastic jerry cans), chairs, saw and axe for making fire wood, etc.

Some summer we will travel east to enjoy the Island and rest of the Maritimes.

Forgot to mention I did pick up a tote-n-stor 30 gallon waste tank the other day for 50$ as the provincial park only has a dump station and we are going to be spending a week there this summer.
