Sorry for the dumb question, but what is a fantastic fan? How is it different from other fans?

IMO the Fantastic fan is the best exhaust fan on the market. The blades are heavier than the usual cheapos that manufactures install. They also usually have a reverse switch for drawing air in as well as out and have variable speeds (normally 3 settings). I have experienced that they are quieter than others on the market. Upper grade models are even thermostatically controlled.

This is not a dumb question at all.
One major brand name is Fan-Tastic, the other is MaxxAir (what we have) by Airxcel.
They both manufacture an excellent product thermostatically controlled, automatically opening and closing lid, rain sensor, 10 or more automatic speed settings, intake or exhaust and remote controlled. Or, for the budget conscious a basic fan with 1 - 3 manually adjustable speed settings and manual lid.
There are also some lesser known brands on the market.
