Finally decided on a PUP

Hello all!

After going back in fourth between hybrids and PUPs / new or used I've finally decided. I'm taking delivery on a Rockwood 1940ltd in the next couple of weeks. Got a price at the boat show I couldn't refuse and happened to be in the shopping mood

I've only been tent camping at lakes I could take my boat at for the last 10 years. Decided that I was board so I sold the boat last fall and have been waiting for what felt right. I hope to expand my camping horizons!

Hope to see you camping in a couple months!

Congrats on your new PUP! It can be tough trying to decide between different units. I'm sure there will be lots of good times to come. Remember that we are here if you have any questions.

Thanks for the welcomes and tips on the links. I've been on lurking on those two as well as campingforums.com since I started to debate switching from the boat last summer. There are a lot of cool mods that I've got from all the sights that I can't wait to do to mine over time. I would like to keep it stock as much as possible but consider the list below as stock upgrades:

1. Fantastic Fan
2. LED swap for interior and porch lights
3. Hollow plastic tube or post for bunk supports
4. Collapsible closet shelf for clothes storage - not a permanet attachment
5. Bike rack - Haven't decided how to do except not off the back of the PUP

My goal this summer to take a couple trips to parks on Lake Michigan along with many new SPs in Indiana that I haven't been to due to the boat. Leaning toward Sleeping Bear Dunes for one but am up for suggestions.

when i had my pup, i added shelving over the sink with two shower rods and some metal shelves. HERE is a pic I found, not mine, but it shows you the basics.

Thanks for the idea! That's much better than setting something small on the cabinet. All buyable at a box hardware store too. I'll show the DW because that's her main focus right now.

That's a great idea thanks for post. I just sold my old pop up to a buddy and I sent him the link to the picture. What a great idea!
