Finally, no more tents!

Hello everyone! After 32 years of marriage, the wife and I decided to buy our first new camp trailer. We bought a new Forest River 2014 206LTD. Since we don't need many luxuries when we camp, this is great for us. We have two Rottweiler's that always go camping with us, so we are never in a campground, always in the boonies. We have a place that has a beautiful fishing stream in front of us, and lots of woods all around. To be honest, it is a 2 occupant campground, but so far in the boonies we have only seen one other person there in all our years. I bought a Brigs & Stratton 3500W generator, extra marine battery, plus all the extras for inside the trailer. This is costing a lot more than I thought, but I think after all these years, the wife and I deserve it.

Enjoy it. I had a pop up several years ago and liked how I could unzip the side panels and let the air flow through. My new bride didn't like it as well so we traded up to a regular trailer.

I have a feeling we will probably trade up in a few years too. But, before that happens I need to get a bigger truck!

It was quite the deal when I moved up to a slide in overhead camper and even bigger when we bought the Lite.

Welcome to the forums from SW Idaho.

We have been camping in a tent in the bed of our truck for over 10 years. We finally bought our first travel trailer this year when we couldn't get the tent up because of the downpour of rain. We've only used it twice but it was just the best! We have another festival at the end of August. I can't wait! Good luck with your new rig!

many here would wonder why you named your thread "No More Tents", if you bought a popup tent trailer!

they think that you still got "tents".

welcome to FRF and getting off the ground.
we had two popups over a 17 year period. and we still have canvas with our hybrid that we've had for almost 8 years.

Lol. I guess that's true. At least we're not on the ground anymore.
