Greetings -
I've become rather a forum junky in the last few months since we have made the decision to go fulltime next summer. We are in the process of selling lock, stock and barrel over the next several months, with the house going very last. Wow, we have a lot of crap (can you say that here?).
Good research includes asking questions and weighing many opinions, so here we are! We have narrowed our class A choices down significantly and are looking hard @ Tiffin, then ran across a Georgetown gasser @ the local RV show last week that we just loved. Some threads make the point that many manufacturers use the same parts in their rigs, so what's most important comes down to floorplan, fit & finish, and getting great customer service - oh - and budget being #1! Thus the gasser option must be considered, since even the "gently used" DPs seem out of reach for us.
We will more than likely be the type of fulltimers who stay in one place for a few months or longer (working as we go), and keep mostly to the Nortwest states, since that's where family is - lots of mountain passes! Our toad will be our paid-for Nissan (so we'll need a dolly) and at least a 5k tow capacity. Around 36' + floorplans are our favorite, since the DH will need to build an office/desk area. Bunk models look good for that. Washer/dryer is a must as is decent storage for fulltiming. Modifications are no problem for us and we actually look forward to personalizing to suit - we've done that with two S&B, why not an RV, right?
Looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts and opinions!
