First RV/Tent Camper!

After years of wishing we had a camper, we finally decided to pull the trigger and get a pop up tent camper.... A beautiful Palomino Traverse Sequoia! I sat it up twice this past weekend after driving 4 1/2 hours to pick it up and then another 4 1/2 to bring it home on friday! I bought it from Cheyenne Camping Center in Walcott, IA and I drove from Central Missouri to pick it up...I would recommend these guys, they seem like a quality dealership with hard to beat prices!

My kids spent all weekend in the camper and we cannot wait for our upcoming trips that we are planning! This forum was very helpful when I was doing research on what to buy and such!

A couple of pics attached...getting ready to take it home...and then all set up in the driveway!

You'll have a great time with the new pop-up. Welcome to trailering with the family.

I towed a Coleman Sunridge pop-up for 10 years before getting a TT. Took the kids to the Rockies in BC and the Viking settlement in Newfoudland and many places between. They talked about telling the teachers that they walked on the Columbia Icefields and other landmarks when it was taught in class.

Enjoy!

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your popup. That Palomino Traverse Sequoia and FJ are a good looking combo! Camp driveway is a great place to start. That way you're not far from home in case you forget anything.

Memories! Family Time! We started camping in the 1990's with our 2 kids and collie. We purchased a used Jayco pop up pulled by our Toyota truck; we didn't know anything about RVing, towing, we had no camping supplies and made ALOT of mistakes (including damage to the truck and trailer I caused) but we had fun learning. With kids a pop up or expandable is the only way to go. We now have 5 grandkids, one family has a Jayco 23B expandable (they want a Rockwood Roo 23IKSS) and the other a tent. Our kids still to this day talk about the days in the pop up as the best times of their lives. It was the best "family" investment I every made. Time with your kids is short when they are young; take advantage of this time because you cannot get it back.
