First time caller, long time listener...

Howdy,
So, we sold the pop-up trailer last week, and bought a 2008 Rockwood Mini-lite 1809 yesterday. Put a deposit down on it, and will be heading down to pay for her this Saturday. We will probably have to store it on the lower mainland for a month or two, until the mountain passes are decent enough for us to feel comfortable towing her home.

We are pretty stoked to say the least, the Wife and I love camping. We try to get out as much as possible during the "camping season" and already have a 2 week stay reserved on the Oregon Coast (my Wife's favorite spot on earth) this summer.

We've come from the world of pop-up trailers, with our last serving us very well. We have driven a Jeep until a couple years ago, which pretty much forced us into a pop-up trailer. We sold it and bought an XTerra with the thought of eventually getting a proper trailer....and voila...here we are.

I'm sure I'll be hanging around, and asking a million questions. I'll probably know more, and have a few query's after we see the trailer this weekend. She does look to be in great shape, and we are buying it from the original owner.

See ya around.

Congratulation and Welcome to the forum.

We have had a 1809S Rockwood Mini Lite since May of 2010 with vary few problems. Just the right size for the two of us.

Welcome and congrats on your new camper.

What route do you take to get from OK Falls, BC to the Oregon Coast?

Thanks everyone, for the warm welcome.

We've been to the Oregon Coast probably 6 times over the past 10 years, either on the motorbikes or to camp. If we are driving and towing a trailer we normally take Hwy97 south to the Columbia the head west on I84 to Portland and take Hwy99 to the coast.

The highway and mountain passes were in stellar shape, the sun was shining, and someone was obviously telling us to pull our new trailer home.
She was dirty mess by the time we pulled into town, and was promptly named "The Dirty Beaver" by my Wife.
We are even more stoked now, the condition is great, the former owners took good care of her, had it winterized, and actually purchased a newer larger Rockwood Mini Lite (which must say something). The Xterra pulled the trailer like a dream, it behaved very well back there, and we are now counting down the days until camping season begins.
