First Time Camper

We just bought our first camper today. We bought a 2007 Cub 23TT. We have 4 year old twins, seems to have a lot of room. Cannot wait to take it out for the first time

just so you know, the Cub is made by Thor Industries, not Forest River, so there's no Cub section here.
but you can learn a lot about hybrids by reading through the Expandables/Hybrids section here.

Thanks everyone! The hybird we wanted is made by Forest River, but we didn't want to spend the money on a new one just yet. Hopefully we like camping and will be buying a new one later on. I have been stalking the FR forums since we decided to buy a camper and find this to be the best place for camping advice and knowledge. Thanks again!

you'll get lots of friendly and helpful advice, compared to other forums.
you'll find lots of helpful info in the Expandable/Hybrid section that will apply to your hybrid, like Popup Gizmos or solar blankets being the #1 Hybrid mod.
or using Reflectix in the canvas windows for cooling or heating the bunk ends.

there was a Kodiak/Aerolite owner's forum a few years back but it closed down.

Congrats on your camper! You realize though that you will probably be exposing your young children to several "bugs" that they may never truly get over.

Many of us including me were bitten by the camping bug when our parents drug us out into the woods to sit around a campfire or hauled our young tender bodies across the country several times in a variety of camping & RV units.

You may infect your kids with the desire to see our wonderful country from a campground rather than the window of a hotel.

You will be responsible for an addiction that they may have to deal with for their entire lives!

Thats exactly what happened to me KarenS144! My parents always had a camper and now that I am a married adult, we never thought we would have time since my husband is a farmer, well last year someone gave me a popup and I took the girls and went without my husband! That was it, I was hooked and a couple of weeks ago bought a 281 bunkhouse with outside kitchen. Atleast my girls had to rough it for a few weeks.
