First time camper owner

Greeting all!

I just purchased my first travel trailer yesterday, a 2004 Surveyor SV261T. I've been camping with my grandparents all my life and finally decided to buy my own camper now that I have a family of my own. I found a steal of a deal locally that came with a hitch and everything to go camping but clothes, they even left the pots and pans in the kitchen.

Congratulations...and welcome to the "grown-up world of camping". We started with a 27' Dutchmen bumper pull about 10 years ago...then graduated to a Sandpiper 5th wheel and earlier this year we bought a Palomino Columbus 320RS. My in-laws had been active RVers, but I never dreamed I'd enjoy it as much as I have.

Now...we are always so eager to get on the road and never in a hurry to get home.

Wishing you safe travels...and many great memories with your family on the road.

Welcome to FRF!!

be sure to check out the Surveryor hybrid sub-forum, under the Expandables/Hybrids section.
not sure if there's any other 261 owners there but you'll be able to get help with some of the unique things with having a hybrid.

Google Popup Gizmos, #1 hybrid mod.
another popular mod is changing out the bunk door screw clamps, for the newer cargo latch type.
