Just traded our 15 yo Winnebago on a new Georgetown GT5 34H5. Many problems to get fixed so far. Slide chain broken, lowered front bunk wouldn't go back up, terrible vibration in front end at highway speed, and a broken bed support leg on main bed. It was 13 degrees when I left the dealer and the coach heater did not work. After freezing for 100 miles, I stopped to investigate the problem. The wiring harness for the coach heater was never connected. The dealer told me those connectors on the passenger side floor were for future accessory's. Also, the flexible duct from the blower to the dash outlets were never connected. After I got the blower to work, still no air. Spend over $100k and have all of these problems? Shouldn't happen!
Those are things that should have been discovered and repaired before you took delivery and handed over your cash or signed the papers. Conducting a complete predelivery inspection would have been to your benefit. Water under the bridge so now you have a lot of warranty work to get completed.
So its all my fault FR sold a poor product? The dealer prep was a joke!! Very unhappy with the MH. I toured the Georgetown MH plant and thought they did a good job.
That sounds far from great! Hopefully this should be an easy solution from the dealer to just fix everything. No? Granted it’ll suck to have to bring it in, but should totally be covered. I would think.
Hope you get this all resolved!
