First Timers From Washington

Hi

Dh and I purchased our first RV in July, it's a 2004 FW Thor, 31ft with 1 slide We were very lucky to have experienced RVers in my family which really helped us figure out what we wanted and needed. We have been using my parents older Minnie for the past couple of years before finding our own RV.

We are dh, retired Navy, currently on his second career as a corrections officer, me, an auditor and 14 yr old dd and whichever friend she will be bringing with her We also includes our 8 yr old Samoyed and our 1 1/2 yr old German Shepherd Dog.

I took our RV dry camping the week after we bought it and we are looking forward to our first family camping weekend next month. Yes August/September are busy months for us so we've had to wait longer than we wanted to get away for our first trip. We did camp at my parents for a weekend last month and we were very happy with our rig

We know we have a lot to learn and appreciate everyone that posts tips, advice and pictures!

Dori

Welcome!

Much of the camping experience is common across different brands. There are so many Forest Rover brands that we can't keep them straight either!

I'm sure you'll find a lot of common topics here and be contributing to our confusion in no time.

We are looking forward to camping at one of the CGs up in your area!

Welcome aboard from just south of Frank on Whidbey Island. I think you could pick a different campground in Western Wa every weekend for a year and have some left over for the next year. Enjoy exploring.
