First Year Camper

This was our first year camping with a travel trailer. We have a seasonal site at Mountain Pines Campground in the Laural Highlands. We have a 2016 Salem Hemisphere 272RL. Everything has been good so far with only on issue concerning a heat duct that had been damaged during installation which was promptly fixed by our dealer on our site at no cost. We purchased our trailer at Brook's Camper sales in Connellsville PA and they were great to work with. My wife and I could not be happier with our trailer. Things seem to be top quality and we get many compliments on the trailer. We already signed up for a second season next year. The layout is excellent and there is plenty of room. Our two dogs, a Min Pin and Yorkie love it when we go up for a stay. I like the trailer since it is light and my F150 pulled it easily. We will be winterizing in a couple weeks for the first time and plan on using to air method for clearing pipes.

Your TT looks beautiful. We have a 2016 Salem Hemisphere 263RL and love it too. We have had a few more issues than you, but nothing that you wouldn't expect to have. They did put in indoor switches for the stabilizers and both of those had to be changed, so don't be surprised if one or both stop working. We could run them off the tablet, so it was ok, except that the tablet stopped working at the same time the switch went out. We are glad we took the two year warranty, though. Just wish we had more time for camping!

Welcome. We are first time campers this year. Our class C was cheaper than a condo but we call it a condo on wheels. enjoy your camping.

I have the Hemisphere 282RK. Looked at a number of brands and always came back to the Hemisphere. The fit and finish look of these TT's just seemed better to me. Plus the hyper-light construction makes it doable for the new F150 with their high payloads.

Congrats on first year and it sure is nice to look forward to next season. We just finished 18 day trip thru New England and Canada, our first year also. If you blow out your water lines, go back a time or two to get all the moisture out of the faucets and seals. Good luck and enjoy !
