Fish Camp to...

Excited to be joining the forum, been receiving daily emails and enjoy reading them. About two years ago I rented a space at a small RV park on a local lake to use as a fishing camp. Wife of 41 years said she never intended to darken its doors, so I bought a new Vibe 277RL for myself, sons, and son-in-law to use.

Asked her to at least come out to the lake and help me set up the TT with necessities. After her first night staying, she is now the first in the truck for the hour long trip every Friday. Last April I bought the RV park, kept one full-time tenant to be the gatekeeper, and bought a used TT to push out the kids and grandkids. A few weeks back I traded in the VIBE and bought a new Columbus Compass 329DVC...wife loves the space and the high end comforts.

Protected it with a 24x41x12 metal cover and added a 150 gallon propane tank. Really just wanted a place to fish until dark-thirty without having to drive back home each evening. Best laid plans...

Now you need to hitch up that Compass and take DW on a trip around this amazing wonderful country!

Welcome from Southside Virginia, that's quite a story, where is your RV park? I guess you don't do anything half way...enjoy your new RV, they are really pretty nice. I know a few members who have one.

Kepler Lake is a quiet lake tucked in the woods in NW Louisiana. Small compared to a lot of our area lakes, but great fishing. Older gentleman decided to sell the property and we loved the property so much we didn't want to take the chance a new buyer would do what we did; make it a private camp. Thanks for reaching out... I have a good friend who lives in Wytheville VA.

Gotta love a man with a plan.

I had no idea my wife always wanted a 5th wheel until we had it for two years.
