We had a Flagstaff Ultra Lite......until we spent our first winter in Virginia and about froze our hoohoos off.
The thing that makes them "ultra-lite" is that much of the weight savings comes from thin walls and pretty much no insulation anywhere in the rig. If you're following the sun and are going to spend your winters in states bordering the Gulf of Mexico or Southern California, an ultra-lite is the way to go.
Your truck is
built for towing heavier rigs and I don't think your fuel savings would amount to enough to forgo your full time comfort. Besides all that, you also may want to compare storage space of one over the other
Good luck with your new adventure!!
