Smile Future Full Time RVers say Hello

Hi, Thank you for allowing us to join. My husband and I are from Georgia and currently love our Puma travel trailer on the occasions that we can afford to get away from work and go camping. However, we are hoping to buy a Forest River Georgetown XL (if we can find a way to have a stackable w/d instead of a combo) and go full time in the RV in the next few years. Looking forward to learning a LOT from all of you.

Welcome from central Ohio. Glad you joined - there is a lot of info on here and someone has probably been through it already if needed.

My family of 4 uses a vented combo and we are perfectly content with the small load size. I wouldn't let a combo vs. stackable w/d be a show stopper for me.

(Though, friends who have stackables absolutely love them and I understand why. But the *vented* combos do a good job none the less.)

Thank you so much. I feel welcomed. We are so excited when we think about going full time in an RV. Re: combo vs stackable w/d - The load size isn't really the issue but I have heard that the clothes come out very wrinkled after drying. I do see that it looks like the Georgetown XL 369DS (which seems to fit us the best) has a vent that would be for a vented dryer.

That's mostly an issue when you put too much into it at once. I can tell when my wife has loaded up the machine!

Some people swear if you stop it between the wash and dry cycles and shake the clothes out that it helps. I can count on zero fingers the number of times we've done that!

Thanks, I am sure I will remember to catch it between cycles.
