Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your new camper. Under the Library tab above there is a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) checklist that you can download and take with you. Or you can do a google search for one. Basically check out every system including fridge, water heater, furnace, stove/oven, AC, awning, TV, stereo, etc. Take a nightlight with you and check every outlet inside and out. Try every light. Check all exterior caulking. Do the windows open easily? Check screens for holes/tears. Check all fabric on sofa/chairs/bedspread for tears. Hopefully your dealer will have it hooked up to water so check for any leaks, look under sinks and under the camper. Have them show you how to winterize and de-winterize. Take pictures or video the process. If something isn't right don't sign anything because once you do it could be hard to get it in to be repaired/fixed. Take your time as a good PDI could last for a couple hours. If there is anything you don't understand - ask them to repeat it. I know others will chime in with ideas too. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

Our dealer (Tri-Am RV in Ocala, Fl ) set us up for a night at the dealership so we could stay overnight and find any bugs we may have missed in the PDI. Maybe you can do that...

Don' get stars in your eyes and all excited. The dealer is there to screw you!
It's your hard earned money... go over everything with a fine tooth comb!

If it looks broken or not right to you, get it in writing and have them fix it.

DO NOT sign any papers or give them money until you are totally happy!!

Get video with your smart phone. You will never remember everything they may show you.

GOOD LUCK!!

Some great advice just take your time and don't let the dealer rush you out the door and certainly don't give them any money until everything is fixed
