Greeting from SE Michigan

Hello All;

I look forward being a part of this forum. We took delivery of our first HTT last week. It is a 2015 Roo 23SS. Our family is delighted with the purchase and ecstatic to spend some quality time with it. We upgraded from a Coleman Utah pop-up we had about 5 yrs ago. With 3 young children, it was time to go bigger. We choose a hybrid because we enjoy the open air feel while sleeping yet we can "Turtle Up" if needed for protection from Mother Nature.

Thanks,

Birchtreefan

Congrats on your new Roo from another Michigander. You'll love it, it's a nice step up from a popup.

Be sure everything checks out on your Roo in "camp driveway " before you head out. Have fun camping, sleepy hollow looks nice...

We actually spent the 4th of July weekend at Grand Haven State CG a day after buying it. Risky, I know. The slide quit working when I got home only to find a 30a fuse blown located just off the battery along the frame. Otherwise, so far, so good. Camp driveway tomorrow with the children. :-)

Birchtreefan, some of us have replaced that fuse with a 30 amp auto resetting circuit breaker. Murphy's law says next time the fuse blows it'll be raining and it'll happen at the campground. The auto stores have it in a longer blade type to fit that green fuse holder. Seems like all it takes is to hold the slide out switch abit too long. Enjoy your camping!

Excellent information. That is exactly how I blew it the first time. I will be doing a mod on that soon. Atleast I learned how to manually operate the slide. :-)
