Greetings Forum Members!!

Greetings from Buffalo, NY!! New to RV'ing and very excited about getting on the road and exploring the country!! My wife and I just bought a 2005 Georgetown 342XL. We're planning the first trip down the east coast to the Keys, up the Gulf and back North!! Hoping to take a month or so and can't wait.

I've been reading through many of the posts here on the forum, and really appreciate the insight that is here. Looking forward to many years of travel and fun in our new home away from home!!

If anyone has any info/suggestions about this particular model of RV that I just bought, please feel free to chime in. I look forward to any thoughts you may have!

Since you are new I would recommend taking several short weekend trips to learn your equipment and figure how you and your wife are going to live and where all your stuff will go. I've been Rv'ing for several years and just got a new Travel Trailer on Monday. We just spent 4 days at a near by state park and learned a lot.

After you have done that a few times you will have a better trip when you are ready to go long.

I couldn't agree more, Bob. We haven't been able to do much the last few weeks due to needing several repairs by the dealership that should have been taken care of before we picked it up.

However, the good news is everything is being taken care of and we are planning several short trips to get used to "her". This forum has been a great deal of help and I am very glad to be a part of it.
