Greetings from Louisville, KY

Hello,
My wife and I bought our first RV (1997 Georgie Boy Cruise Master) about 2 years ago. We went cheapish as we weren't sure we would camp that much. Well, we camped alot!

So we just bought a 2010 Forest River Georgetown 350TS. We're in love with it, a HUGE upgrade over our first one. We love camping or glamping (glamorous camping) as our friends call it. We mostly camp within a 4 hours drive from Louisville. We have been as far as Destin, FL one time.

We're bummed it's getting colder and most Campgrounds are about to close up shop. Last planned camping trip is this weekend to our favorite spot, a KOA that's about 20 minutes from our house. =) Great for the kids (we have 4).

Happy to have found a good camping forum and I'll see you in the threads. =)

Hi there! Congrats on your new-to-you Georgetown too. Camping close to home allows for a quick get-away especially when time is more limited. One of my favorite get-away spots is less than 10 miles from home.

Welcome from Richmond KY. I believe we have been to the KOA you are talking about (South Louisville). Awesome hot tub and pool there. There are some great campgrounds around here within an hour or 2 drive. Kentucky is great for camping.

Welcome! How exciting to have a new camper!! Congrats! I understand what you mean about being bummed that camping season is coming to an end for us in this part of the country, we feel the same way. But looking forward to spring to start all over again!

Just Down sized

We are now the owners of a 1997 Georgie Boy Pursuit. We have had several RV's over the past 40 years. We are in our 70's and decided to Down size and get something that would not cost so much as we don't travel like we use to. So I bought this 97 pursuit. It is in great shape with only 42000 miles. I am having fun making Mods to it and plan a trip in the spring to Arizona and Texas. Doctors appointments are keeping us from Leaving this winter.
