Munising has a great older municipal campground right on the water's edge if you want electricity. Also Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore campgrounds just to the east of Munising if you want to boondock. I love the UP!

Welcome to the rv-camping world, GlacierGus is right Munising tourist park is great for access to Pictured Rocks National, Grand Island and even for the convienant boat tours that I really recommend even for UP residents like us to see the rocks from the water. Last year we went late into Grand Marais rv park for access to the eastern end on our "color tour" Grand Marais has it's own character. Gladstone even has an rv dealer for parts if needed on your trip. If you are going to any of these places bring a screen tent, invaluable! We have had a fresh snow storm and it was 15 degrees this morning before warming. Our 2011 model Wildcat extralite is new to us and is still stored "below the bridge" awaiting our first trip in it.

Welcome from Macomb, MI. Congrats on the new trailer.

I also second the municipal campground in Grand Marais. Can't wait to get back there, it's been too many years.

You can spend weeks in the U.P. and not see it all. Also recommend Fayette State Park. Historic town on the harbor. Just beautiful.

We live in a beautiful state.
