Greetings from Sharpsburg GA

Hi Forest River Community. My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Rockwood 2306 TT. We did a lot of research and while I could not find the "perfect" rig, I am hopeful that this TT will serve us well. It's our first camper of any kind so we are complete idiots with regards to TT camping. Spent all day at CW in Anniston, AL. They were nice enough folks and I think we got a fair deal. I declined their extended warranty and am considering the one offered by Good Sam direct. Any advice on that is appreciated. We will be pulling this rig with a 2015 Silverado 2500 with the 6.0 gas engine. More than enough truck for this 24' camper I suppose. We did get a Husky Centerline WDH as well and it towed perfectly back home. Spent today going to various stores picking up some essentials needed to go camping. Here's what we have bought so far: X-Chocks, leveling pads, surge protector, outdoor water filter, clean water hose, grey water hose, sewer hose w/fittings, water pressure regulator. Wife is in charge of all of the inside the camper gear and she had a cart full of stuff. We printed a list of items that most campers use so I'm sure she will use that as a guide. Anyway, sorry to ramble on and we look forward to getting this rig on the road very soon. Any and all advice is welcomed!

Hi neighbor. We're in Fayetteville. We've had a Rockwood for 8 years now. No real issues. Welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome from northern Arizona! Congrats on the new rig and good job getting a tow rig with more than enough power, braking and suspension for your trailer. Better to have a healthy safety margin than not. Ask all the questions you want, there's lots of wisdom, experience and help on this forum, and we were all newbies once too!
Happy Camping!!

Welcome to the forum From GA. You should consider applying for the Forest River extended warranty which is only $150 and now you will have 2 full years of complete coverage. You will find most things happen in that time span. Look forward to you attending my rally next June please check out the rally thread. Enjoy andLater RJD

Welcome from Savannah Ga. Best advice is get out and experience the camping lifestyle. If you and your wife work together in packing the camper and setting it up, you'll both enjoy it.
