Greetings from the great state of Texas
I've been waiting to post, just lurking for a couple weeks. Just finalizing our deal on a 2013 Columbus 365 RL. The unit was only used a couple times and owned for less than 60 days. I was looking for this exact model, color combination 2 tone grey with Seville interior, bedroom 32 inch TV, bedroom A/C, Fireplace, Fiberglass end cap, Rain sensor fan in the kitchen, 4 door Stainless Steel Refer, Tri glide Pin box and I got the dealer to give me the B & W Companion hitch.
Funny thing is we were headed to the RV show on Saturday. I sold my 2007 31 ft. Sunset Creek and delivered it to the new owner at a Camping World in Katy, TX on a Thursday before the RV show in Houston. As I'm leaving the parking lot of Camping World, on a whim, I drove next door to the Holiday World lot. Camping World and Holiday World had their stuff at the RV show, but a salesman showed me some Montana's. I'm not really interested so he asks me what I am looking for. I tell him Columbus or Cardinal. He then mentioned that they had the Columbus that they had just taken in on trade for a Motor coach. He said it was loaded with everything, including satillite that will track on the move. It hadn't been processed yet, still being cleaned up did I want to see it. I said sure. I couldn't believe that it was exactly the unit that I was looking for!
Bingo. it had everything above plus a generator with zero time on it. I started it for the first time. It's also got 4 slide out awnings and 6 way levelers. It had the washer/dryer combination but he took that. The original option sheet was in it and showed a list price of $82,000 so it probably sold new for low 60's I would think. As close as I can guess, saved a ton versus a new 2013. No warranty, but should be low risk for the first year.
Paperwork coming in from Good Sam tomorrow Fed Ex. I can't get the dealer to match the 4.62% Will only go with 4.99% but $1,700 less down.
Picking up the unit on the 25th as we are going out of town all next week. Kind of excited! I'm a happy camper, pun intended.
